Unaware of self is living life as if we were blind.

Self-Awareness: It Starts with YOU!

Hardly anyone in business today talks about self-awareness. I’m not sure why.

Is it not sexy enough? Is it not measurable? Is it too philosophical and introspective?

I’m not sure what it is. But if people are not self-aware, forget business.

Forget marketing. Forget sales. Forget accounting. Forget technology. Forget innovation. Forget iteration. Forget pivoting your idea or project. Forget raising more money. Forget getting more investors. Forget scaling.

Just forget it. Cause if you’re not even aware of your self, how will you be aware of anything that matters?

“Wanna disrupt an industry? Disrupt yourself.” — Gary Vaynerchuck

It starts with YOU. It starts with ME. A business rises or falls on the parts that make up the whole. Sure a company can survive and even thrive. But with a group of ignorant, naive, unaware stubborn people it will eventually fizzle out and die. It won’t make it.

What is self-awareness? It depends on the context. For business purposes (or startup or being an entrepreneur), it means being fully aware of and taking active notice of your own self: strengths, weaknesses, fears, doubts, beliefs, perspectives, habits, thought processes.

It’s knowing the ins and outs of all of the WHYs of what you do and how you do it.

You wanna be successful? You want to launch a startup or scale your business or exit big? You had better figure yourself out and fast.
