Hahaha only partially. I read somewhere that writing something small, such as a short poem or even a few clever sentences can kickstart creativity if you feel stuck. And in my case it worked. I ended up smashing out 1,300 words for my book after I published this.
Glad I could help! I often struggle with changes in what I want in life. But I’m coming to see that life happens in waves. Sometimes all I want to do is write blog posts and poems for weeks and so I do, but when that’s worked out of my system, I feel the need to work on my book. There’s never one track, right?
Building an audience that reads your tech/UX/productivity/creativity articles is great, but you can’t feed them one thing and then switch to another and hope for the same strength in views. Consistency is what’s important. If you want your poetry and fiction to be read, then you’ve got to write poetry and fiction.
It went well. I was only able to maintain it for 5 months before starting to drink coffee again.
