You can not go to Barcelona and not See Sagrada Famillia! La Sagrada Família is one of Gaudí’s most famous works in Barcelona. Today, more than 135 years after the cornerstone, construction continues on the Basilica and is expected to be completed in 2026.

La Sagrada Família is unlike any other church you’ve visited. Gaudí was deeply influenced by nature and its many forms. Inside the Basilica, he designed the pillars in the shape of elegant and slender tree trunks, creating a concrete forest in the temple’s interior. The church’s interior is defined by columns that look like tree branches toward the ceiling. Walk inside this holy church and witness the bright spectacular colors of the stained glass windows that shine on the white stone that covers the space. Stare at the ceiling above you, which is a hero up by hundreds of pillars that resemble criss-crossing tree branches.

La Sagrada Familia, a UNESCO World Heritage site and Antoni Gaudi’s magnum opus, is undoubtedly the most iconic structure in Barcelona.

The Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family has become the symbol of Barcelona and is well worth visiting. Since it is a very popular tourist attraction; therefore, there are long lines, I recommend reserving your tickets online, so as not to waste time queuing.
