2016 New Years Resolutions

New Year resolutions are important. I always come up with a few, though sharing them this year makes me feel more accountable.

  1. Stay in touch with friends more. I’m generally bad about keeping in touch with the people I care about and I’d like to change that. In addition, I’m going to stop being such a lurker and interact more on social media.
  2. Take more photos. I feel our poor daughter is starting to suffer from second child syndrome when it comes to documenting her progress. I’m going to take more photos of her, and our family in general.
  3. Floss.
  4. Save more money. Those retirement accounts are not going to fund themselves.
  5. Write & post online more. 2015 was a sad year for blog posts.

2015 Successes

2015 was an eventful year.

  1. Had a beautiful baby girl. Going from accepting that we were only going to be a one child family, to getting pregnant, having a (full term!) baby, and then getting through the first three months — all within a year— was a satisfying success.
  2. Got in shape & lost weight. I worked out an average of 2.6 times a week in 2015. I got a handle on my nutirition and lost a total of 20.1 lbs. I ran a sub 22 minute 5k, which is handy for chasing around a 4 year old. It was a lifestyle change I’m proud of and I’ll write a more thorough post on fitness soon.

I enjoy seeing people make changes to improve their life, so please, let me know what your resolution are as well.
