Weekend Reads 2016–02–05

At some point this site may be a blog with well-researched, well-thought-out posts about topics of interest to me. Until that point, I am finding comfort in quasi-lists based around a theme.

I will continue to dump pull quotes and links to interesting articles on the [Links](/links/) page but if I have a morning like today where I notice that I am adding a bunch of articles to my Instapaper queue that I hope to read over the weekend, I will try to make a post collecting them as well.

This weekend appears to be a New Yorker-themed weekend. Their ‘You May Also Like’ section at the bottom of an article caught my attention with a few things. Unlike the Links page, I have not read these articles yet, I merely intend to.

+ I hate stacked area charts from Dr. Drang

+ The Power of the Isolated Vocal Track from The New Yorker

+ Bieber’s Atonement from The New Yorker

+ Kim Gordon, Kurt Cobain, and the Mythology of Punk from The New Yorker

+ Shkreli Miraculously Makes Nation Side with Congress from The Borowitz Report (The New Yorker)

+ Talking to My Watch from Macdrifter
