If it’s a team of one, then yes, don’t waste your time writing detailed test cases! Just be sure to understand you are taking on technical debt by not having your tests documented at all.

If you ever plan on scaling your QA team, you will eventually need a summary of a test suite. In a fast agile environment, highly detailed test cases are of little value, but that summary will be of great value for onboarding other QA and running regressions in the future.
