“The journey of success stops, when you start to doubt yourself and your ability to overcome.” — Jon McFadden

The story of Mr. McFadden…

In 2011, I was in some of the best shape of life. Playing football and sports has been a dream of mine. I was going to go big and play in the NFL and start a football camp and coach and win championships…….. then “POP”!!! My ACL was torn in college playing a pick up game of basketball.

At that point, as a senior in college, I realized that my dream to play on that level had been removed. I was hit with a dose of reality and had to reflect on who I wanted to become in life. There was a freshman by the name of Kai'Shon who I talked and shared my experiences in college with during my time of recovery. The biggest question that came to me was, who is Jon McFadden and what is he going to be? In order to learn about who I am, I first needed to learn where I came from and this is where the short story of Mr. McFadden begins…..

Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world. — Sarah Ban Breathnach

If you had told me that I would be building a fashion business I wouldn’t have believed them. If someone had told me I would been a motivational speaker I wouldn’t have believed. If anyone had told me that I would be developing aspiring leaders and chasing my purpose in life as an entrepreneur, again I wouldn’t have believed them.

Yet, here I am, happier and more passionate than ever. I spent most of my life helping in the community and building job readiness programs in South Carolina. Growing up, my mother raised me to always do your best, seek knowledge and experience, and never give up. In order for me to do my best, I had to become the best, in order for me to have knowledge and wisdom was for me embrace growth and learning through experience, in order for me to never give up I have to go for something that I truly wanted.

I recently completed my masters and received my MBA in Business Administration. I have a program built to develop principles within my members and interns. I’ve always been open-minded and had an extreme work ethic.

Before getting to this point I had to change from the path I was on. In 2010, I started to doubt myself prior to my injury because I was just going to school. I was battling drinking problems, death amongst friends and families, and constant regret. I fell into isolation from friends and my mentors because I wanted to get AWAY!!! Run from everything and drink my problems away but then…… CRASHHHH!!!! HIT BY A DRUNK DRIVER!!!

A person who doubts himself is like a man who would enlist in the ranks of his enemies and bear arms against himself. — Alexandre Dumas

Doubt and defeat slowly tried to take over but then my mother told me to start reading the Bible and go back to how I raised you!! Instead of attending just church, I found myself getting back into the community and finding my purpose in life.

Fast forward to 2016, I am now the Founder/CEO of ProFound, CIO of Pretty Fly Society, and curator for The Cubic Level (Subscription service). I didn’t factor the immediate impact that starting a company and business would have on me — especially the people that I come in contact with. The experience is simply amazing.

In many ways, I had become thankful and grateful for all the opportunities to grow in this life. This has allowed to focus on creating an out-of-cube experience to help others achieve goals. Well guess what? That’s the Cubic Level. I’m thankful for the people who, without even knowing, have helped me become Mr. McFadden.

Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth. — John F. Kennedy

I’m Jon McFadden and welcome to a ProFound Experience.
