Meet the Team — Hannah Woodbridge
The MedEngine family continues to grow with our new Data Science Intern, Hannah Woodbridge! 🎉
Where are you from? 🌍
Lyon, France. But as my name indicates, I have British origins.
How did you end up working at MedEngine? 😊
I have always wanted to work somewhere that aims to help people. So naturally, I was drawn to MedEngine, and the opportunity to apply everything I had been learning to something I could really care about. Moving back to my favourite city, Berlin, was a nice bonus.
How did you get into data science? 🔬
I started working with data during a gap year in my engineering studies and wanted to learn more and go further, so I specialised in data science after that. I enjoy writing code that gives meaning to otherwise obscure data.
What would you say you are most proud of? 🏆
Probably a project I worked on that aimed to get children and teenagers interested in aeronautics and science in general. I invested a lot of time and effort and it was so rewarding to see how much their enthusiasm grew.
Could you describe yourself in 3 words… 🤔
1. Open
2. Easy-going
3. Empathetic
What’s the best part about working at MedEngine? ⭐️
Everyone clearly cares so much about what MedEngine is striving to do, it’s really motivating.
Name 3 things you couldn’t go without… 🙌
Travel, nature, and a comfy bed.
Do you have a favourite book? 📚
I am a big fan of Lionel Shriver’s books (We Need to Talk About Kevin, The Post-Birthday World) because they make you think a lot, about people and the choices we make.
Is there a skill you would like to learn or develop in the future? 🎓
I would like to develop my coding skills to a more professional level and branch out into several languages.
