Section 1: Social Medias Impact on Politics

When it comes to politics, I believe that social media plays a huge role. Every day you see on social media what politicians are doing, they are always in the public eye, the first place you see a politician doing something is on social media. According to Business2community.com “Every politician worth his salt needs to jump on the social media bandwagon. This is because social websites have played an important role in many elections around the world, including in the U.S., Iran, and India”. So this quote gives us a reason to believe that social media is beneficial for a politician or political party to join social media, to boost the popularity and their social profile and social reach. That being said everything that is good also has its bad side and there are many when it comes to social media, every political party can say what they want to whomever they want and that can have ramifications, like not delivering on an elections promise and offending certain minorities but that is just part and part of being a political party.
