I dislike being a tech-wizard-guru-master

Recently, I noticed there seems to be a universal affinity for making up goofy names to refer to tech-minded people:

  1. Tech-guru
  2. Web-master
  3. Tech-wizard

Why?

We would never call a treasurer a number-master. We wouldn’t call the president a leadership-guru. We don’t call editors reading-wizards.

Why do we make these terms for people comfortable with computers?
