Kunal Khemu Early Life & Family

He was born on May 25, 1983 in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, India. As a child actor, he started his career as a child actor. The films that he is mostly known for are Raja Hindustani (1996), Zakhm (1998), Klayug (2005), Traffic Signal (2007), and so on. As a Kashmiri Pandit of Kashmiri descent, he is the son of Ravi and Jyoti Kemmu. The couple’s elder child has a younger sister, Karishma Kemmu, and a brother, Arjun Kemmu. After completing his schooling from N.L.Dalmia High School in Mira Road, he completed his graduation from the Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics at SVKM’s campus in Vile Parle in Mumbai.

Kunal Khemu Career

When he was a child actor, he debuted on Doordarshan Television by portraying the lead role in the series Gul Gulshan Gulfaam. Kunal Khemu made his big-screen debut with Mahesh Bhatt’s acclaimed film “Sir” after his television debut.

As a child artist, the legendary films he acted in included Zakhm, Raja Hindustani, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Bhai, and Dushman. In the film Kalyug, Kunal Khemu appeared with the male lead as a featured actor. In his next movie, Dhol, he starred in a comedy-drama starring Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, and Sharma Joshi.

After appearing in Dhol, Kunal made appearances in Superstar, Jai Veeru, and Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge. As Kunal Kadam, he played the leading role in Mukesh Bhatt’s film “Blood Money.” In the year 2013, he appeared in the film Go Goa Gone, in which he played an important role. Following an absence of two years, Kunal Khemu returned to the screen in 2015 with the thriller “Bhaag Johnny,” a story about a man who acquires two lives with the help of Jinn, played by Vikram Bhatt.

His first acting role was in Mukesh Bhatt’s Blood Money. He appeared in the Zombie satire film Go Goa Gone, released on 10 May 2013. The films were successful at the box office.

During 2017, he acted as Lord Indra in the animated film Hanuman: Da’ Damdaar. Likewise, he appeared in the fourth volume of Golmaal, titled Golmaal Again, reprising his role as Laxman Sharma. As portrayed by Kalank, he exhibited a negative character without precedent in his line of work.

Although filming began in 2013, the film was released on 25 September 2015 to mixed reviews and low box office earnings. Also, Kunal Khemu starred in the fourth season of Golmaal, titled “Golmaal Again,” where he reprised his role of Laxman. The movie also stars Arshad Warsi, Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor, Tabu, Parineeti Chopra, and Shreyas Talpade in the leading roles.

He married the late Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s daughter, Soha Ali Khan Pataudi, in 2015. She is the sister of Saif Ali Khan and Saba Ali Khan and the daughter of actress Sharmila Tagore and Late Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Since his marriage, he has been living a happy life. The couple has been blessed with a daughter named Inaaya Naumi Khemu, whom they gave birth to in 2017.
