The spell of Modernity

There’s no problem to say that most of people are consuming illusions. When someone buys a very expensive and fancy item, whether it’s a food, clothes or anything, they are most paying for the status and the “aura” of that product than for the product in itself. They are Fascinated by the images which the advertising has been creating in their minds and even if somehow they are awareness of this “process” they can’t avoid the feeling of pride and temporary fulfillment that it gives. It’s so strong that nowadays hardly anybody is able to identify “virtues” in other people after 1 min of conversation, however, almost everybody is able to identify the “brands” which the other is wearing, carrying or using after 30 seconds of interaction!
