Panic attack

What is a panic attack? A panic attack is when everything seems to stop yet also go too fast.

It’s when you know you are breathing but you feel as if you aren’t. It’s when you shake but feel completly still. It’s when if you didn’t hold onto something near you like a table it would feel as if you aren’t even there.

It’s when you can’t talk because you might cry for no true reason. It’s when you’re scared beyond your own understanding.

A panic attack is an awful experience.

I experience them regulary and I am hoping to find ways to help me cope with them so they won’t rule my life.

I am hoping that if you are struggling and you find my blog you can find some comfort in my words even if it’s just comfort in knowing you are not alone.

What can you do? It depends person to person but common things to help are touching something nearby to help you feel more grounded. Sitting down with your head inbetween your legs if you feel like you’re going to pass out. Sometimes hugging can help if you have someone there for you. Being distracted by someone talking about different calming thoughts. Listening to calm music can also help.

Sometimes you’ll just have to ride out the storm but they always pass and you’ll always come out stronger. Stay strong loves and remember you can do anything if you keep trying.
