That’s the nice way to put it! To be a little blunt… if you raise a kid a give him/her everything they want they’ll grow up feeling entitled to luxury, whether or not they work for it or not. The average Australian feels entitled. We don’t have to work very hard to have a comfortable life!

Refugees and their children will work a multitude harder than the average Australian. Just visit any top Australian university and you’ll see that it’s the international students who fill the vast majority of Masters and PhD positions. Just like the mass immigration following WW2 it will be the nations invested in refugees that will lead the charge in development of new technology and economic growth.
