This point could be a pro and con for Instagram. Part of the reason so many people are comfortable sharing authentic pieces of their lives on Snapchat is its intimacy.

IG tends to be a wider group of people that you may not be as close with. For that reason, I think IG Stories will always be a bit more curated than those on Snapchat — particularly for younger people. Probably good for growth, but not as much for the unfiltered doses of life people use Snapchat for.
