nah, these recipe rap fools (the “recipe” being: money, clothes, cars, and hoes — as outlined by T.I. in ‘03 but in existence long before) are much more like the Monkees (commercial garbage marketed to tweens) than the Beatles. they couldn’t even come up with their own name. if anyone is the “black Beatles”, it’s Kanye. i’m not even really a fan post-Graduation, but he has experimented with new and different sounds on his later albums, much like the Beatles. these dudes calling themselves the black Beatles is like Nickelback calling themselves the Canadian Led Zeppelin. there’s plenty of good rap out there, no need to waste time with shit like Rae Srummerd.
