What do you think the founders of billion dollar companies, today, thought of their businesses when they were first starting out?

By all means, the startups space is not a level playing field. Everyone is fighting for advantages. But the inspiring thing about this whole world is that each and every founder has one commonality:

we all start with 0 customers. we all start from zero

I am fascinated by the beginnings of companies. While scaling is interesting and it is indeed really exciting to help ideas grow, I am always inspired by humble beginnings.
