Generally speaking, our infrastructure and culture are not set up for this (yet). Many people have long commutes, our cities aren’t the safest for cyclists (bike lanes, etc) and as a culture, cycling is relatively new as a way to get around (for adults). I’m seeing this hangs as our cities get more dense and the younger generation embraces the cultural aspect.
