This is extremely disappointing and problematic. “female” is gendered. Bodies with a uterus and ovaries and vagina are not all “female” and biological sex does not exist. There are so many ways to have bodies, so many possible chromosomal combinations.
Why not “Reproductive Health”?? This is widely used by reproductive justice advocates and avoids gendering and exclusion. It would also be helpful if this app were inclusive of trans women who have menstrual cycles too, without the bleeding. It would be great to be able to track this too.
Sticking to “female health” is pure laziness. Obviously trans people are not a priority.
