There is no place for humility in the world of competitive and highly sought after graduate jobs.

I’m Ethiopian. A born-and-bred Londoner, but I’m Ethiopian as well.

Anyone who knows me knows how often I bring up the future of the African continent. My interests lie in emerging markets; I track the rate of economic growth, I seek start-up and investment opportunities, I keep a watchful eye on the stability of political regimes.

Like most first-gens, these interests stem from an immigrant upbringing in the petri-dish of south London. A fusion of these cultures is, what I believe to be, an asset. …
