The infamous SU-57, famous for its nonexistent stealth capabilities and super maneuverability, is Russia’s next-generation aircraft.

And to sum it up, all you’re hearing is that this airplane is complete failure.

But is it?

Here we will take a deep look into the program that pushed out the SU-57. As well as the technology onboard, raw performance, and lastly but most importantly, how it stacks up to planes like the F-22.

The Russians already wanted a next-generation fighter way back in the 1980s during the days of the U.S.S.R. At the time, the program was dubbed I-90 or “Fighter of the 1990s”.

The goal was to create a multifunctional aircraft, and eventually replace the MiG-29 and SU-27.
