Congratulations for your post Willem-Jan.

I really appreciate your point of view regarding the cultural environment. It demonstrates that, besides the values, we must evaluate the context of each person in our team, so the effectiveness of making people awesome can be achieved in a fashion way.

Actually I’ve been working with a team that is on the “storming” stage, according Tuckman’s stages of group development. Apart of all non-violent discussion that’s been happening these days, I usually say to them that they’re evolving, and that these communication are so good that, in a few days, they’re going to achieve a “norming” stage because they’ve been learning together how to become a better team, so they do care about making each other awesome.
