Hiring fixers and guides.

Some international research teams really treat their local fixers/guides badly, if not with outright hostility. Sometimes it’s passive: a SF/NYC/London team doesn’t know how to manage expectations from client and proceeds to pressure the local fixer/guide — who may or may not share the working rhythm or client context to understand why things are happening — to over deliver. I’m tired of clients that disrespect research teams/agencies, and sure as hell despise when these same people don’t adequately structure their relationship with local freelancers/fixers.
