Are you feeling stuck in your life? Or rather in your bed as you binge watch shows on Netflix? Fear no more, because I have the solution you’ve been waiting for: Being Erica! The only show you’ll ever watch that will inspire you to get off your lazy ass and achieve your goals and lifelong dreams.

Erica (played by the magnificent Erin Karpluk) is a 30-something year old woman who has experienced so many regrets in her life that the collective weight is making it quite hard for her to focus on the future. With no steady job, relationship or financial independency, Erica hits rock bottom after experiencing a near death experience in the form of a peanut allergy. Suddenly a mysterious man enters her life, Dr. Tom(Michael Riley), who claims to be a therapist and wants to help her. Erica finds herself being unable to face the collective disapproval of her family and friends once again.

She agrees to enter therapy, but it is not quite what she expected. Dr. Tom is not an ordinary therapist and has the ability to send Erica back in time to redo her regrets and use what she has learned in the past to forge a better future; often through the use of extremely quotable quotes.

Now I understand watching a new show is a risk, as it might involve putting a lot of time and binge-watching might leave you feeling like a nocturnal creature that is allergic to all forms of productivity and daylight.

But no risk, no reward sister! And If you’d watch Being Erica you’d learn how to take the right kind of risks.

Through the lessons Erica learns in each episode, we are encouraged to re-evaluate our own lives and the fact that the issues she faces are so relatable only makes it easier to be inspired. And at the end of each episodes you’ll feel a little more ready to face your own issues.

And of course, if you’re not interested in dealing with those stupid real life problems, Erica can always teach you how to give the perfect ‘passive-aggressive-yet-friendly’ side-eye.

Watch Being Erica! K. Thnx. Bai.
