His relatively small body of work is so brilliant, it’s mind-boggling. There’s not a single bad track in his 4 albums of original material and his covers are equally stunning. Of all the losses in 2016, this one hit me hardest. Seeing him twice at Madison Square Garden is a blessing I am so grateful for. He touched us so deeply, and left us with a feeling that we knew him personally.
