It’s more than research. I would recommend spending a lot of time getting to know them, reference calls with others they have invested in, and to treat it like a very critical hire. The reality is most of us don’t have a choice because getting even one VC to say yes is a challenge, but if you do, then you should do as much work to select the right partner.
