The Nvidia RTX 40 series is getting closer, and we already have a clear idea of its specifications that far exceed the RTX 30 series. In this article, I will give the specifications and the most notable points that have been improved and then give my opinion and the things that can be negative.

Specifications and comparison with the RTX 30 series:

Here we can see a comparison between the current high-end Nvidia RTX 30s and the data I collected over the internet from the cards RTX 40s.

First of all, in the section on frequencies, we see a significant improvement with 2235 Mhz of the base frequency and 2520 with boost, and this is not in the comparison, but it can reach up to 2750 Mhz. Then we have the consumption section that goes up to 450W, but it’s justified with those 16384 CUDA cores that would reach 90 TFLOPS, and they would double the power of the RTX 30.

Now the negative point. PC sales are said to drop 9.5% this year, motherboard manufacturers estimate their sales will drop 30%, Nvidia card prices drop along with demand for crypto mining and have a tendency to keep going down, and the output of the graphics wand will most likely be next year since Nvidia contacted TSMC since there are still many cards in stock and, they need to sell before releasing the next generation, for this reason, the negative point would be that they could take longer to arrive unless AMD puts pressure on the RX 7000.

In conclusion and closing with my idea, the new generation will be a tremendous advance, and we already have proof of this, such as the tweet above that says that in “Control” one of the most demanding games, the RTX 4090 gets more than double the performance of an RTX 3090. They are not cheap at all, and the prices look quite real if we consider how the market is currently and without mentioning the stock problem with the RTX 30, but we can only wait to see how everything turns out.

Thanks for reading. I will be updating this post we the latest information that gets out.
