I’m Easily Distracted Because I …oooh, Chick Fil-A!!

In one of the 29 browsers I have open on my computer right now, there’s an article about a doctor who helps his patients to focus throughout the whole day. The first paragraph was really interesting. There was something in the middle of the second paragraph that reminded me of my friend Chris. Now that I think about it, I don’t think Chris has posted anything lately on facebook. I hope he’s ok.
(checks facebook)
Oh good….Chris is alright. Looks like he just deactivated his account again. He does this sometimes…I’m not sure why. But anyway, it’s just temporary. He’ll be posting again soon. His hero Bernie Sanders is all over the news…and Chris can’t resist the urge to make sure we know everything Bernie says and does. I can’t even believe he endorsed Hillary Clinton. That’s a total slap in the face to those who supported him specifically because they don’t like her.
I heard the other day that 40% of Bernie’s supporters would rather vote for Trump instead of Hillary. That is so crazy to me. I still can’t even believe that Trump is the Republican nominee. Out of the 50 other Republican candidates, how did he end up with the nomination? This has to be the craziest election ever. Anyway, what was I saying? Oh right, the article.
So here’s the deal. This doctor ties a little red string around the finger of his patients. The sole purpose of that string is to remind his patients to focus throughout the day. It makes them go back in their minds to the last thing they were focused on. So every time they see the string, which is often, they return their consciousness to whatever they were focused on.

I really like this website where the article is posted. I like the layout. Usually I don’t care for websites with a bright white background. It’s hard on the eyes. That’s why I went with a dark background for my own website. But the white background on this other website looks clean and bright.
I like how they list their most recent articles on the right side. I need to figure out how to do that on my website. I bet it keeps people on their site for a long time as they click from one article to another.
(watches four YouTube videos about website customization…and then a fifth video about airline disasters)
Y’know…life is so fragile. I mean…one minute, you’re just working hard, assuming you have lots of years in front of you and next thing you know, BAM! HIT BY A BUS! Game over.
I should get life insurance. I just got health insurance through work, so that’s good. But it would be nice to know that my funeral won’t be a financial burden for anyone. What I need is a job with insurance that covers everything; dental, vision, health and life insurance coverage…preferably a job that’s closer to home.
(opens browser window #30, goes to Monster.com, looks through job listings for 30 minutes)
What was I talking about? Oh right, websites.
I have an awesome idea for a new website. It would be like Wikipedia, but for regular people like you and me. So for example, it would say “John Doe was born in Houston,Texas, the son of Bill and Jane Doe.” And if you click on Bill or Jane, it would take you to another page that’s all about them. We could read all about their families and stories. Wouldn’t that be really cool? I wonder how I could monetize that.
(goes to GoDaddy.com, purchases domain www.familiesandstories.com)

Awesome! Now all I need is some free time to build up this website and that will be the beginning of my online empire. Or maybe one of my other projects will make me a fortune. I honestly don’t care where my success comes from. I just want the financial freedom to do what I want to do and take whatever direction I want to take.
I just need to focus and make it happen. Oh that reminds…I was telling you about the doctor who helps people to focus. Which browser was that in? I think I closed it. Whatever, it doesn’t matter.
Man, I’m so hungry right now!
The point is…we’re all passionate about one thing or another. And the only way we’re going to turn our dreams into reality is if we focus hard enough to work our plans through to completion.
I was really inspired the other day by one of Gary Vee’s tweets. Let me see if I can find it. Where’s my phone? It had something to do with finding success in your own way instead of trying to replicate someone else’s success. I really needed to hear that. Ahh, here it is!

It says there are 300 million ways to…you know…be successful. Find the way that works for you. That is so perfect. I’m gonna retweet that.
I cannot overstate how important it is to…
Oh man, check out this Chick Fil-A tweet!! I’M SO THERE!
