North Carolina Monuments
Governor Roy Cooper

With all due respect, Governor Cooper, the right way to get rid of these monuments is decades passed. And since the GA has decided to block municipalities from removing them, there is only one way left to get rid of them.

Let’s be clear, these aren’t memorials, they are symbols of hate, erected in front of court houses and government buildings, decades after the war ended. They are a constant reminder to people of color that their government and representative memorialize those who fought to keep them in bondage.

I think the writing is on the wall here, they will be coming down, right way or not.
