Today I spent my day laying out details for some UX analytics and tracking strategy utilizing the HEART framework. This is one of the dryer sides of design, but good design usually begins with good information.

Still working on UX analytics and tracking. It’s coming together pretty well and learned a pretty valuable thing today.

When implementing an analytics tracking strategy and reporting framework, always make sure you audit the output of the reports to ensure the js is working as expected. Create a unique user and map the UI path to the output of the report to confirm. Don’t assume.

I spent some time with internal teams discussing our conversion funnel to ensure alignment. Reporting metrics and insights via Amplitude has been pretty smooth and it’s exciting to see the our drop off rate as it pertains to the conversion funnel. This is placeholder data, but you can see there’s certainly a significant amount of room for growth.

Still working on UX analytics and tracking, but today I was assigned to lead our companies Usability Testing strategy and vision.

We’re currently doing some vigilante style testing and this will give me the opportunity to begin laying the groundwork for what will eventually become our Usability Testing lab.
