The ability to communicate does not separate mankind from other animals; after all, each species has a unique ability to relay information between its individual members. What makes us special in the animal kingdom is our ability to apply reason and logic to our communication in a uniquely human way.

When dealing with people, remember you are not dealing with creatures of logic, but creatures of emotion–Dale Carnegie.

In personal relationships, communication between the parties fosters trust, stimulates empathy, and is vital for conflict resolution. It has a wonderful way of removing me from an argument and, instead, allows for focusing on us and the relationship as a whole body.
