It got to the point where caffeine made me frustrated and anxious — simple and plain. I’m glad I read “Caffeine Blues” by Stephen Cherniske. He brought to my attention that caffeine will more than likely wear out my adrenal glands, limit blood flow to my brain and other organs, and leave me addicted and dissatisfied in the end. I keep the book on my desk at all times, because it serves as a reminder that I can wake up, stay up, and function normally without caffeine (coffee, tea… or chocolate). Thanks, Matthew, for helping me get out of that mild but nasty addiction.
