Totally possible someone ‘likes’ a page for update or entertainment etc. One of my friends reached out to all his friends who ‘liked’ Trump and half his group said it was just for updates or for entertainment.

And like I mentioned in the original article “Also note, just because your friend likes a page, doesn’t mean they are voting for them. But it could open up an opportunity to respectfully engage them in a political conversation.”

I definitely plan on asking my friends their plans related to the candidate they like and I expect many are doing just what you mentioned.
