Josh.ai is a full platform home automation system with a focus on voice control. With our own robust NLP (natural language processing) engine, most users control Josh.ai from their smart phone or tablet. With the rising interest in Amazon’s far-field microphone, the Echo, we’ve begun building support for it. While this isn’t yet approved by Amazon, we wanted to show some of the functionality Josh.ai + Amazon Echo can do:

If you’re curious what’s going on, the Echo is working as a microphone, listening when commanded and passing the input to Josh.ai. Since the NLP is being parsed by Josh.ai, anything we can control, Echo can control (when coupled together). Currently Josh.ai can control devices like Sonos, Lutron, Nest, Autonomic, Meridian, MyQ, and many more.
