Adobe Hates Mac
Latest Creative Cloud Update Will Break Your Shit

It’s come to my attention that the fine folks at Macromedia… er… Adobe, deployed a Creative Cloud update that deletes shit that doesn’t belong to them. As soon as Adobe Creative Cloud updates on your Mac computer it proceeds to delete the first hidden folder in your root directory in alphabetical order.
Yeah, that’s right. Adobe is deleting your shit. Now, I’m not saying that this was an attempt to lock out pirated versions of their software, but I am saying they’re a bunch of idiots.
Here’s a tutorial on how to take preventative measures against their buffoonery:
- Open your Terminal.
- CD into your root directory by typing:
.. /
3. Copy and paste this into Terminal.
sudo mkdir /.adobedontdeletemyshitorilleatyourbabies
4. Press Enter and then enter your system Admin password when prompted.
5. You’re done!
What you did here is create a hidden file at the top of your file list within your root drive that will get deleted when you update Adobe Creative Cloud. If it already updated then odds are you’re S.O.L. and probably have zero clue what was even nuked off your root drive.
Might be something stupid, might be something important. Who knows? It’s now a mystery of the universe.
The crazy thing is that they don’t even know why this happening. Expect another system breaking cloud update to fix this in the future. As if we don’t already waste enough time setting shit up already.
Here’s a relevant pie chart to help explain:

Good job, Adobe.
