Second, take a look at this Facebook post from one of the folks who attended the TNC working group:
It seems to indicate that Austin taxi stakeholders are the real problem with getting to good regulations for TNC’s. Representatives from taxi services were hostile during the negotiations, regularly used propaganda and ignored calls to compromise. Is that what you experienced?
Lastly why didn’t Lyft go for the market share grab? From folks I know, Lyft has the better reputation vs Uber here. Wasn’t there an opportunity for Lyft to stay in Austin, earn the loyalty of Austin consumers and take over the market making it difficult for Uber to ever return?
