Why I Defied Saving for Retirement to Get Out of Debt

I did it…I broke one of the cardinal rules about saving for retirement. My wife and I made IRA withdrawals to pay off our mortgage early. Yes, you read that correctly.
Most level-headed readers (maybe you too) think we’re crazy and downright foolish. That’s okay if you share this sentiment. We’re debt-free and I’m only 32 years old.
