A scale of knowledge only has one end. Accepting the fact that we will always know relatively next to nothing is a recognition of our more than big pond. “Big” fish limit their reality and curiosity. The concept of infinity is gas for humility. If we suddenly decide to consider ourselves stupid, it doesn’t change what we know or how good we are, except maybe faster learning.
