Elderly social care is failing; young people are the answer, but do we understand the question?

I guess one issue might be social care for elderly can be hugely expensive. And it’s a bit of a lottery in terms of what you might require. So if people self fund, then some families will pay huge amounts, and others very little. I think the role of the state is usually to average out this loss if you think of the NHS. So maybe this should happen with social care too?
