Daily Gratitude

I’ve been posting my daily gratitude over at Facebook for the last couple of weeks. I thought it would be interesting to move over here, as Medium is a tool dedicated to expressive writing.

Let’s get on with it.

Today I am thankful for my daughter’s amazing intensity. If you know her, you know exactly what I’m talking about. If you don’t, let’s just say my girl is serious about getting what she wants. When she refines this intensity, there will be no stopping her.

I am thankful that my son has found someone who makes him happy. His girlfriend adores him, and motivates him to be the best person he can be. It is clear that he feels the same about her. They are happy and will do great things together.

I am thankful for free code editors like Visual Studio Code and Atom.io. I remember “writing” code in Microsoft Notepad many moons ago. Then there was the move to the amazing Notepad++. I couldn’t imagine having to use those these days.

I am thankful for the Hemingway editor. It helps me to keep my writing concise. It tells me when I’m using passive voice and unnecessary adverbs. It also let’s me know of simpler phrases when I get too creative. It’s a great tool.

I am thankful for a group called Mentorbox. They have introduced me to new ideas that motivate me. I’ll admit, I was a skeptic at first. They use marketing tactics that I’m not crazy about. But, I decided to give the free trial a shot. I’m glad I did.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
