One Year of Gratitude—Day 107

Today is my mom’s birthday. Happy birthday, Mom! I hope it’s a good one!

The weather here in CT has been beautiful for a while. Although our morning walks to school have been cold, they have been lovely. Same for my lunchtime walks with our dog, Jack. Crystal clear, blue skies sure do make it easier to get outside and move our bodies.

Jack and I have been averaging around three miles a day. Our walk to school with Kayla is around 1.5 miles. Our lunchtime walk is a little longer. The health app on my iPhone returns a different distance after each walk. Since we take the same paths every day, I just take the average distance. We enjoy getting out of the house. The walks give us a different perspective of the neighborhood. We see things on our walks that we never see while driving. I get to clear my head from work and Jack gets an opportunity to pee on stuff. It’s a win-win. We are both grateful.

And that is your gratitude for today.
