One Year of Gratitude—Day 73

My goodness, we are juggling lots of balls in the air at work. I am engaged in several active projects, each demanding my focused concentration. Meetings and helping others with user interface challenges are also competing for my time and attention. It can be a bit of a balancing act at times.

But, you know what? I have a job. It is a fantastic job. I work for America’s Test Kitchen, a well known and respected company in the food industry. Our chefs create recipes that millions of people use on a daily basis. I work with a great design and marketing team. They work hard to ensure our customers are receiving the product they want. I have been able to carve my niche within the organization. I have a voice, and my cohorts value my contributions and opinions. The company compensates me generously and allows me to work from home. I have the flexibility for extended family visits over the summers. I could keep going, but I think I have written enough to make my point clear.

I am grateful for my job. I am grateful for the flexibility it affords me. I am fortunate to be able to do exactly the kind of work I want to be doing.

And that is your gratitude for today.
