Ever wondered about this…here’s why…

They are not willing to fail;

They don’t see value in learning and self-education;

They don’t think they have what it takes to be extraordinary;

They are confused about what is truly valuable;

They spend more time making comparisons than working on themselves.

A couple of days ago, after a long time, I experienced a Papercut, nothing major.

As I was putting Band-Aid on it to cover it, that particular finger stopped functioning..like literally.

In fact, all the other fingers were trying to protect this one finger from getting hurt any further,

I learnt a small lesson…

Since we are wired to instinctively protect ourselves from danger. Whether it be physical pain or emotional pain, (our brain processes it the same)… we need to be aware that we don’t get in the way of our healing or bury it through avoidance, but that we admit we are healing.

Only when I stopped defending the hurt, did I begin to heal…

Maybe the areas we defend the most, are the areas we need the most healing.

It’s ok. It’s better when you heal.

The #1, fundamental, foundational, most pressing human need is Identity. We cannot go without Identity for very many seconds without experiencing harm, sometimes extreme and lasting levels of harm.

What do we mean by Identity? We receive Identity when we get yes answers to questions such as:

Do I exist to you?

Do I matter to you?

Do I have value and significance to you?

Am I good enough for you?

We lose identity if we don’t get yes answers to those questions.

Have you been betrayed by someone close to you?

Chances are you may have experienced this…

Even Jesus was betrayed….By one of his closest, Judas.

Judas ate from the same table, worked with Jesus, travelled with the 12 and yet, stewarded the finances of the ministry, and yet He was the key catalyst to Jesus’s next season.

What if I told you that without Jesus being betrayed from the inside that He would not of being able to go to the cross?

Betrayal can sometimes be the door to the next season.

Without Judas, Jesus couldn’t be set up for greater glory.

Don’t long for “the good old days.” This is not wise.

Ecclesiastes 7:10

  • Isn’t it funny that we all know people in our life that reminiscence on the old and glorious days of the past…
  • It doesn’t say that we shouldn’t look back and celebrate God’s goodness and faithfulness, it just says that we shouldn’t LONNNNGGGG for the moments in the past…

My point:

Spending today’s energy longing for the past doesn’t help you walk in your God-ordained future.

I was messaging a person on Instagram helping them find their gift…Here are some questions that are CLUES to discovering your natural giftings…

What are you most natural at doing?

What can you do that is effortless?

When are moments when you’ve lost track of time?

What frustrates you quite regularly? is there a pattern/trigger?

What have you done in the last 90 days that has kept you up from sleeping because of the energy release?

Hi

Last week I was at the Arise conference in Wellington and hugely impacted by what is happening.

Great to have Vimlesh Uncle who hosted us on our first day and showed us around Wellington, He has been a subscriber from day 1 and might be reading this. Huge shout out to you!!

Thought of the Week

Be careful what you think, because what you think eventually becomes what you say, and what you say always results has either results in LIFE or death
