Students from the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Toronto are off to Montserrat and Antigua!

Thanks to funding from the Department of Earth Sciences and the Dean’s International Initiatives Fund (DIIF), a select group of students are about to embark on an academic fieldtrip to Montserrat and Antigua. Led by Ed Spooner and Danielle Shirriff, the fieldtrip is taking place over reading week from February 16th- February 26th. We have planned visits with the Montserrat Volcanic Observatory, the buried city of Plymouth, and the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda amongst others.

Please check back daily as we will be chronicling our adventures that will be filled with education, culture, geology, and warm weather :)
