Two Poems

I.

Think of a man
fanning embers to flames
on the ocean’s floor

For men that live under water,
those we left to drown

Think of a human race
learning to breathe
without air

II.

For the ones that
think their scars
are flaws that should
be hid under foundations
and storeys of make up,

live
own your scars

to be beautiful,
you need to be imperfect
