Do you think we could get to a point at which animals are treated better in confinement than in the wild? I don’t see that being very likely. That means we would have to be vegan to let them live in nature. Otherwise we would have to pamper them to give them a truly humane life. We would then treat our food better than our citizens. My point was just that the eggs I eat come from shitty circumstances and I wish the hens had abetter quality of life. I presented the idea poorly, but the gist of it was just that things could be done better for the animals we consume. I will do my homework better before I speak up from now on. I was trying to write more persuasively than informatively, but I will try harder next time to be more accurate.
