Don’t Let The Media Make Up Your Mind For You

When I was growing up in the early 80’s, ninety percent of the media was controlled by 50 different companies. Nowadays, 90% of media are owned by only half a dozen. That’s just six measly special interest groups determining nearly everything that’s being presented. How the fuck can a company like Comcast or Viacom have that much power?!?

In many ways the Walt Disney Company really just runs the world. I mean if they and CBS and a few other companies get to decide what you get to do everyday, then they pretty much run shit. That’s not right! AOL Time Warner shouldn’t determine how our children are raised.

Comcast not only decides what you actually get informed about but more importantly what you will be forced to ignore as a result. I mean honestly, who hasn’t ever seen a Disney movie at some point in their lifetime? These companies are all-pervasive!!

What we learn about the world and our place in it is largely determined by people we will never actually meet, nor would we want to for that matter. Rich elitist pricks like Robert Iger and Jeff Bewkes don’t give a fuck about you. Don’t buy into their mainstream media. You have nothing to gain and everything to lose from the propaganda of the mass media. BEWARE!!!
