Worm

The struggling worm trapped left to right on the sidewalk.
Inches from soil and no where to go.
Sharp fragments of cement splinter with every move.
The struggling worm trapped up and down on the sidewalk.
Cement became a barrier to the soft, chilled soil.
The Sun no longer displays the beauty of Nature.
The individual on the sidewalk notices the stuggling worm.
Consciously, three choices speak.
Keep walking
Step on the worm and end the pain
Pick up the worm and place in the grass
The three choices have the same result:
Self-centeredness
The individual’s perspective can position their relevance to Nature.
The individual has no supremancy over the worm in Nature.
We are all on spaceship Earth.

Repeat the quote from Trent Reznor 666 times to humble the Ego:
“I’m just an insect.”
