They say human beings are creatures of habit. In fact, each and every one of us is made up of a bunch of habits.

And it’s this habit cocktail which makes us uniquely us.

There are two things you need to know about habits. First, habits can be good or bad. Second, people tend to think of a habit as any automatic reaction to a trigger. But in order for this to be true, it has to have occurred already in the past at least once. That is, the same exact stimuli triggering the exact same response from you.

And every time you perform the same habit, it’s like traversing a path — the path gets deeper and wider and marks its territory within your neurological pathways.
