Best ideas for Daily Jot

After reaching the awesome target of £250k on Kickstarter, we announced this bonus feature, the Daily Jot — so you can discover something new each day from quotes to doodles to games, a bit like Google’s daily doodle— and opened a competition so everybody could come up with their own ideas. Let’s see what the best answers were…

  1. Our winner: Gael Rolland! — Recipes: Cooking fail? Don’t blame it on the recipe anymore… You can now jot all the instructions, step by step!
Gael Rolland (@Plato75)

2.Cartoons: Caricatures, comic strips and animation. Something to cheer you up every day!

Daily Jot: Katia Banina | Cartoon by Chrisophen David Ryan

3.Games: Word search puzzles, crosswords, sudokus, hangman,…

Arnold van Duursen

4.Poems, Riddles, and other fun for the brain.

5.Motivational quotes: A selection of quotes to get you inspired and ready for an early rise.

Hoang Minh Phuc

6.Doodle of the Day: So you can find out about important dates or relevant events. Like Google Doodle, but better ;)

Ben Farrow, Gregory Regan

7.Sport Scores: On your favourite teams and leagues 🏀 🏓 ⚽️

8.Contests: Guess who, hangman,… ideas to engage the community and play with other users.

Peter Hassard, Shaik Irfan Basha, Marsha Tyszler

9.Interesting facts: Daily knowledges, trivia, Guinness records or strange facts.

Alessandro, Daisuke Inada

10.Optical illusions drawings: Tessellations, spirographs, colour-in drawings, mandala…

Jack Strempel

Thanks to everybody who submitted new ideas! We had a really amazing response and got lots of brilliant suggestions for Joto (use it as a platform to help raise awareness, to learn languages, a tool for kids to learn,…). We’d love Joto to be all this, but this is just the start, so one step at a time! :)

We’ll be featuring these ones on our social media channels (giving you the kudos of course!), feel free to comment with your social handles and share!
